Richard James - Head of New Business Sales
Richard joined Atlas-GOSS from Sun Microsystems in January 2007 and is responsible for expanding both sales and the sales organisation. Richard brings with him 25 years experience of sales in the IT industry having held positions at Sun Microsystems, Secure Information Systems (SISL), Data General, Datasolve and Rank Xerox.
At Sun Microsystems he led the startup of a storage utility offering, the most successful new business offering of 2006 generating a pipeline valued at US$5m. in 2003 developed and led a data centre efficiency programme using Total Cost of Ownership and ITIL based process studies to create consolidation and transformation propositions to achieve sales of US$20m to DWP, T Mobile and O2. In 2001 he led a turnaround in the datacenter business in Manufacturing and Utilities achieving 300% growth and US$14m. In 1998 he created the ‘Solaris Processing Unit’ concept enabling customers to consolidate multiple departmental requirements leading to US$40m in revenue with clients such as British Airways.
While at SISL Richard successfully developed a new civil government line of business including sales to Lord Chancellor’s Department, Home Office and Metropolitan Police. While at Data General held a number sales roles, including leading a successful bid team on the MoD Unix catalogue, achieving US$8m in new revenues.
Jeff Goddard - Head of Alliance Business Partner Programme
Prior to joining forces with Atlas-GOSS Jeff was a British Standards Institute review panel member for the BSi PAS 11000 collaborative business relationship standard and is currently a member of the Association of Alliance Managers.
Jeff has enjoyed a career in strategic alliances with global systems integrators and global hardware vendors including EMC managing a Deloitte relationship at EMEA level and coopetition alliances such as the Unisys business relationships with Accenture across EMEA. Jeff has also managed European sales, channels and pre-sales for US software companies after establishing a successful career in IT with major banks, manufacturing companies, local government and consulting organisations.
Jeff is also the Managing Director of Company Alliances Ltd and a Director of Reach and Value Ltd.
