Atlas GOSS Limited, a provider of support services to global Outsourcing Service Providers (OSPs), has appointed Company Alliances Limited as a Foundation Alliance Business (FAB) Partner, with specific responsibility for designing, developing and managing the Atlas-GOSS FAB Programme, in alignment with PAS 11000 (collaborative business relationships).
The appointment is the beginning of a genuinely collaborative relationship in itself, where Atlas-GOSS has been granted the exclusive right to market, sell and overall service manage PAS 11000 collaborative business relationships aligned support services to it’s client base of OSPs using Company Alliances as a delivery mechanism and Company Alliances manages the Atlas-GOSS Alliance Business Partner portfolio to the new PAS 11000 standard.
“At Atlas-GOSS, as a result of the unique perspective we hold and position we enjoy within the Outsourcing Industry, we recognize the significance of the impact that the new standard will have on our own business and that of our clients. Based on our assessment, the impact could well be on the same scale as ISO 9001 was in the early 90’s.” said Stephen Bailey, Managing Director at Atlas-GOSS. “What’s more important though, is that it could well be the catalyst that shifts the Outsourcing Industry off of its current cost reduction / efficiency axis and back onto the value creation / effectiveness axis around which the Industry was originally built. In partnering with Company Alliances, we now have some of the most expert knowledge in the Industry as our delivery capability to offer OSPs”.
For Jeff Goddard, Managing Director, Company Alliances Limited, the opportunity to become an integral part of the Atlas-GOSS FAB formation was, in his own words, “irresistible, from the moment Stephen began to describe the Atlas-GOSS vision and the operating model they are implementing in order to realise that vision effectively. The team at Atlas-GOSS are expert Account based marketers and business developers and really understand the value of having an Alliance programme that embraces the business relationship standard”.
“As Outsourcing evolves and matures, increasingly, end user clients are opting for multi-sourced partner arrangements that in many instances are made up of consortia of OSPs. This has historically created significant management and operational complexity and contention around whose standards, processes and methodologies should prevail” says Stephen and according to Jeff, “The new standard provides a strategic framework that will reduce collaborative risks and provide an effective basis for Best Practice to be introduced into collaborative business relationships.”
